COVID-19

During the COVID pandemic, we are practicing physical distancing but not social or emotional distancing. Therefore, our counseling center will be closed, for face-to-face sessions, as of April 7, 2020 (Tuesday) and until further notice per the request of Governor Northam through his Executive Order 55 (2020).  We do, however, continue to remain available for our clients.

Our counselors are still providing services!

We are offering telehealth appointments via the Internet or the telephone.

If you would like to continue to receive outpatient counseling services, then please make sure that our office has your email address and the best telephone number at which to reach you. We will contact you to set up the telehealth appointments.  We are also offering online groups for such topics anxiety, depression, and dealing with physical isolation.  We  look forward to meeting with you again, face-to-face, in the very near future. Stay healthy!

Thank you for visiting the Center for Counseling and Growth, PLC website.

Our mission is to promote overall wellness for individuals, couples, families, and organizations.  To be successful in supporting wellness, your active participation in the process is essential. Just by reaching out for help, you are already doing something healthy for yourself.  When seeking counseling services it is important to find a counselor with whom you feel comfortable.  In our counseling center, we believe that the client should be driving the counseling experience.  Therefore, the things that are important to you will also be important to your counselor.  An essential part of the counseling process is to help you to identify and reduce troubling or disruptive mental health symptoms. The treatment of these symptoms will become part of your treatment plan. Your counselor may also provide you with mental health education derived from his or her professional experiences and formal education.  The focus of your counseling experience will be on achieving overall wellness.  So, if you are ready to seek overall wellness and begin the counseling process, contact us to arrange an intake appointment.
